The private studio sits just west of Birmingham in the West Bloomfield area, roughly fifteen minutes from downtown outside of rush hour. Sessions are by appointment only, and the exact address is sent with your booking confirmation. Parking is on site — you are not circling a structure in a suit.
Sessions run by appointment. You will get wardrobe guidance before you arrive, and there is space in the studio to change and check yourself before we start. Most people budget an hour door to door.

Before you book.
Do you come to Birmingham, or do I come to you?
Both work. The private studio is roughly fifteen minutes from downtown Birmingham, and most individuals come to it for the lighting control. Sessions are by appointment and the address is sent when you book. For teams of five or more, it is usually faster for me to bring a portable studio to your Birmingham office.
How long does a headshot session take?
Individual studio sessions run 45 minutes to 90 minutes depending on how many looks you want. On-site team sessions move faster — about 5 to 10 minutes per person once the lighting is set.
What should I wear?
Solid colors, classic cuts, no busy patterns or visible logos. You will get a full wardrobe guide when you book. There is a longer version in the what to wear guide.
How quickly will I get the images?
You get a private proofing gallery first so you can choose your selects. Retouched files are delivered within 48 hours of your selection, with 24-hour turnaround available for executive clients.
Can you match headshots for new hires later?
Yes. Lighting setups are documented for every firm session, so someone hired eight months from now sits in the same light and matches the rest of the team page.
I photograph badly. Is that a problem?
It is the most common thing people say before a session, and it is almost always a direction problem rather than a face problem. The whole session is coached — posture, angle, jaw, eyes. More on that here.
