Attorney headshots that hold up on the bio page.
Nico Salgado Photography photographs attorney headshots and law firm team portraits across Metro Detroit, on-site at your firm or at the West Bloomfield studio. Nico Salgado has photographed more than 3,500 sessions and is published internationally in LFI Magazine. The studio is rated 5.0 stars across 77 Google reviews. Firm sessions run five to ten minutes per attorney, with lighting documented so associates hired next year match the partners photographed this year.
Who this is for
The problem is rarely one bad photograph.
It is fourteen of them. Taken across nine years, by five different people, in four different rooms. One partner is lit from a window, another from a ceiling fluorescent, a third is a cropped conference photo, and the newest associate used a phone. Scroll the attorney page of most Metro Detroit firms and you are looking at a decade of inconsistent lighting arranged in a grid.
Clients notice, even when they cannot name what is wrong. A bio page that looks assembled reads as a firm that is assembled. A bio page that looks deliberate reads as a firm that is deliberate — and the client relationship starts on that page, before anyone picks up a phone.

What a firm session involves
Your attorneys are billing while this happens.
That is the constraint everything is built around. A portable studio goes into a conference room or an unused office. Each attorney sits for five to ten minutes, reviews their frames on screen, and goes back to work. A twelve-person firm is typically done inside two hours.
Nobody travels. Nobody loses an afternoon. The managing partner does not have to schedule around six calendars and a deposition.
Consistency is the deliverable.
Lighting, background, crop, and finish are matched across every attorney in the firm, and the setup is documented afterward. When you bring on a lateral in March, they can be photographed to match the partner shot in October. Your bio page stays coherent instead of drifting a little further out of alignment with every hire.
What you get
Built for where the photograph actually lives.
- Attorney bio crops sized for your firm site, plus square crops for LinkedIn and directory listings
- Consistent lighting across every attorney, documented for future hires
- Full-length and seated options for partners who need press or speaking imagery
- 48-hour retouching, with same-week turnaround available for firm deadlines
- Unlimited business use — firm site, directories, press, proposals, and pitch decks
Directory sizing
One photograph, eight platforms.
Attorney headshots rarely live in one place. The same photograph has to work on your firm bio, LinkedIn, Martindale-Hubbell, Super Lawyers, state bar listings, and whatever proposal template your marketing team uses. Those are different aspect ratios, and a photograph framed for one will be cropped badly by another.
Every attorney session is framed with that in mind and delivered in multiple crops, so you are not re-cropping a partner’s face into a square and cutting off his shoulder.

Common questions
Before your firm books.
How long will this take out of the working day?
Five to ten minutes per attorney once lighting is set. Setup takes about thirty minutes before the first person sits down. A twelve-attorney firm is usually finished in two hours, scheduled in slots so nobody waits.
Can new hires be matched later?
Yes. Lighting setups are documented for every firm session specifically so a lateral hired eighteen months from now sits in the same light, at the same distance, against the same background.
Do you photograph at the firm or in studio?
Both. Firms of five or more are almost always faster on-site. Individual partners often prefer the studio, where there is more control and more time.
What should attorneys wear?
Solid mid-to-deep colors, classic cuts, no visible logos or busy patterns. A jacket is the single most useful item — it produces a formal and a relaxed frame in one sitting. A wardrobe guide goes out to everyone before the session.
Can we shoot around depositions and court?
Yes. Sessions are scheduled in individual slots, and attorneys can be moved within the day if something runs long. It is expected.
How quickly do we get the images?
Retouched files within 48 hours of selection. If you have a firm site launch or a directory deadline, say so at booking and it will be scheduled around it.
