How the Portrait Lounge works at your event
A photo booth produces a strip people leave on the table. The Portrait Lounge produces a portrait people keep — a properly lit, directed image made in about two minutes, on site, while the event carries on around it.
It runs at galas, fundraisers, conferences, holiday parties, and weddings throughout Metro Detroit.
We build the set
A full studio lighting setup and backdrop are installed in a corner of your venue. Footprint is modest — roughly the space of a few cocktail tables.
Guests are directed
Every guest is posed and directed the same way a studio client would be. That is the entire difference between this and a booth: nobody is left to figure out what to do with their hands.
Images delivered fast
Guests can be sent their portrait digitally after the event, and the full gallery goes to the host. Prints on site can be arranged.
How much space does the Portrait Lounge need?
Roughly a ten by ten foot area with access to a standard power outlet. It can be tucked into a corner of a ballroom or lobby without interrupting the flow of the event.
How many guests can be photographed?
It depends on run time, but a steady line moves at roughly twenty to thirty guests an hour with real direction for each. For larger galas, longer coverage or a second setup is worth discussing.
Is this different from a photo booth?
Substantially. A booth is automated, unlit, and unattended. The Portrait Lounge is a working photographer with studio lighting, directing each guest. Guests leave with a portrait, not a novelty strip.
Do guests get their photos the same night?
On-site prints can be arranged, and digital delivery to guests after the event is standard. The complete gallery is delivered to the host.
What kinds of events is it best for?
Galas and fundraisers, corporate holiday parties, conferences where attendees want a usable headshot, and weddings where guests appreciate something better than a booth.
