Physicians & Medical Groups · Metro Detroit
Provider headshots patients actually choose from.
Nico Salgado Photography photographs physician and provider headshots for medical groups across Metro Detroit, on-site at your practice or at the West Bloomfield studio. Nico Salgado has photographed more than 3,500 sessions and is published internationally in LFI Magazine. The studio is rated 5.0 stars across 77 Google reviews. Provider sessions run five to ten minutes each, scheduled between clinic blocks, and delivered in the crops health system directories require.
Who this is for
Patients are choosing a doctor from a photograph.
Before they read a bio, check an insurance panel, or call to book, they look at a face and decide whether they would be comfortable in a room with it. That decision happens in a directory grid, next to eleven other providers, in about two seconds.
Most provider photographs work against the physician. Badge lighting, a corridor background, an expression that reads as tired rather than warm. The medicine is excellent and the photograph says otherwise.
The balance that matters here is specific and slightly contradictory: competent and approachable at the same time. Too warm reads as inexperienced. Too formal reads as unapproachable. That balance is a direction problem, and it is what the session is built around.

What a practice session involves
Scheduled around patients, not the other way around.
A portable studio is set up in an exam room, a break room, or an unused office. Providers come in between patients, sit for five to ten minutes, and go back to clinic. Sessions are commonly run across a lunch block or a half-day of light scheduling.
No provider leaves the building. No clinic day gets cancelled.
Consistency across every provider in the group.
Lighting, background, crop, and finish matched across the whole practice, and documented so a physician who joins next spring matches the ones photographed today. Multi-site groups get the same setup at every location.
Directory ready
One photograph, every listing.
Provider photographs have more places to live than almost any other headshot — your practice site, the health system directory, Healthgrades, Zocdoc, insurance panel listings, hospital credentialing, and referral materials. Several of those have specific crop and resolution requirements, and several of them are square.
Every provider is framed so the same photograph survives all of it, and delivered in multiple crops so your marketing coordinator is not re-cropping ninety faces by hand.
What you get

In a clinical environment
Run around your patients.
Sessions are run with patient privacy in mind. Shooting happens in a closed room, no patient areas are photographed, nothing incidental gets captured, and no images leave with anything identifiable in frame. Common questions
Before your practice books.
How do you schedule around a clinic day?
Providers are given individual slots and come in between patients. Most practices run this over a lunch block or a lighter half-day. Setup takes about thirty minutes before the first provider sits.
White coat or no white coat?
Both, in the same sitting. It costs about ninety seconds and gives you a formal option for credentialing and a warmer one for the practice site.
Can new providers be matched later?
Yes. Every group session is documented so someone joining next year is photographed in the same light against the same background.
Do you shoot at multiple locations?
Yes. Multi-site groups are quoted as one engagement with the identical setup carried to each location, so a provider in one office matches a provider in another.
What about patient privacy?
Sessions run in a closed room, away from patient areas, and nothing identifiable is captured. Written specifics are available if your compliance team needs them.
How fast is delivery?
Retouched files within 48 hours of selection, with priority turnaround available when credentialing or a directory deadline is driving the date.
